considering M45
considering M45
I have enjoyed my G sedan for 1 year now. Great car. The fact (or rumor) that dealers are offering $10K off of the M45 is intriguing, and I am considering trading in my G for an '04 M45. (yes, I've seen the '05 model, looks excellent). The thought of that V8 is nice, thought the body style leaves alot to be desired ! Realizing my G audience here.....what do you folks think of the M45 ? Also, have any of you driven it, and what were your impressions ? Thanks.
Re: considering M45
IMHO, wait for the 05.

Never driven one. Love the performance concept. Too bad it looks like an old Lincoln MKVII

Re: considering M45
my best buddy has an 04 M45, black and its bad ***. I love his car, the V8 pulls very well and he put some 20's on it and it looks great. Agree the styling is kinda different but it's cool to not see a bunch of them on the road, like we see with the G's and the BMW 3 series.

Re: considering M45
I dont care for the inside of it at all. The interior looks too plain and simplified. I like lots of buttons.
Plus it was dated looking when it came out. When the '05 comes out, you'll be wanting to get out of the '04

Re: considering M45
If the dealers are offering $10K off the price of an 04, what is it going to be worth when the 05 comes out? I would wait. I took a look at the 04 before I got my G, and the styling was just plain ugly!!!

Re: considering M45
thanks for the input - my thought process was that I could get this V8 for an attractive price and drive it forever, (regardless of how fast it will depreciate when the '05 arrives) - even though IMHO the body style is a little strange for my taste
the '05 looks hot though, and I probably would have buyer's remorse w/ an '04, although the '05 would be priced out of my comfort level
I'll probably stay w/ my beloved G, but that V8 has me thinking...
thanks again !

Steiner's friends M45 was the first I'd ever seen on the streets. I wasn't very high on them at first but after I saw it with the 20's, it's definitely not a shabby car...

Re: considering M45
i saw a 2004 M45 just the other day. the styling is too ordinary and plain and if i didn't know what car it was, i probably wouldn't have done the double take. hehe, but the 2005 M45 is a different story.

"I think it's too "older Lexus" looking!"
ABQ_tom... yeah, true. i think it's way better looking than the current body style though.
and LOL...

look where the seat controls are! i wonder how soon we'll hear how "uncomfy" THAT seat will be.
