Want to lower my car - need help

I've been wanting to lower my car for a while and think I'm finally ready. I have an 06 X and I've read through the sticky regarding the "X's with lowered suspension." I think it mentions that there are no aftermarket shocks for the front (which is mainly why I haven't lowered it yet) which seems like a hassle. I would rather not have to replace the shocks every 6 months.

That thread also mentions a bunch of different options: Tein, 350Z springs, etc. Is is possible to use a full coupe suspension (shocks and springs) on the AWD? or full 350Z suspension? Will they fit?
Do I have any options where I won't have to replace my shocks every 6 months or a year?

I've had the car for a while and I'm looking forward to doing this so any help/advice you can provide would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help.

The front suspension on the X is different. The RWD part's won't work.

Go lower

I recommend consulting Stillen Motorparts. Ask for Dean

I lowered my '03 Sedan. Awesome!

I got 20's on mine and I am lowered, all depends on how low you want to go and what offsets your wheels are.

Best bet IMO is 20x8.5 front and rear with spacers on the rear. That will look good and keep the AWD happy.

what do spacers do? does it make the wheel stick out a little more?
I really want 20" but i dont want any rubbing. also what are the best offset for a sedan? i dont want the wheel to stick out alot. just want it to be flush with the car.

what are the max tire sizes to get for a g35x sedan for 20x8.5? i will eventraully lower my car with h&r springs. and im really worried about rubbing.

thanks

Ok best offset for the x on a 20x8.5. I would say +35-+40 with a 245-35-20.

Yes spacers will put the wheel out more.

If you look at my car in the X suspension thread. I have 20x8.5 +40 with a 10mm spacer all around. Yes it rubbed in the back so I dont advise that. The fronts on the other hand, I was able to have a 15mm and not rub unless I lowered it passed the tire.

Hope this answers your questions.
