05 6MT sedan or 5AT X

hey everyone I've been lurking around this forum and reading as much helpful threads as I can and decided I need a 05 g sedan (originally wanted a 6MT coupe but the wife and two kids would disagree) and have been wondering which would be the best for me. this would be my daily driver and cant decided if I want the AWD vs the MT. (wife wants the awd)

any suggestions?

all depends where you live and what you are going to do to it.

The ONLY reason not to get the 6mt would be if your wife can't drive stick. Otherwise there is no question.

Tell wife to get her own car and worry about her own problems. Get what you want.

You're gonna get a lot of biased answers. BUT....my biased answer says get the 6MT I live in the snowy midwest, have a wife and 3 kids, and the 6MT does fine for us...

I do too, in montgomery county area. Like said, love my X. You should come out to some of our NGC meets with us and see the variety and different mods(coupes, rwd sedans, X's, and a GTR) a bunch of us were out lastnight in tysons corner area and.

I personally love my X, esp in the rain when other people just spin their wheels and I can take off like a champ. I haven't had it during the snow yet but I am looking forward to seeing how it does compared to my Subies. I thought I would never own an auto but this car is so much fun that I don't mind it one bit as a daily driver.

Eh, if its a DD, i'd get the X. If you dont need the 6mt, just get the AWD. It's really nice in the snow and wet

AWD FTW + 5AT FTL = fail
RWD FTW + 6MT FTW = good

Basic logic says 6mt is better

this is another thread that will have no definitive answer. it comes down to personal preference and expected driving conditions. if snow/ice rarely occurs (less than a week/year) in your region then go for the 6mt RWD. if you regularly (weeks-months/year) see snow in the winter, go for the X.

another factor may be the availability of a 6mt. they can be hard to find in your desired colour/option combo, whereas 5at's are a dime-a-dozen. i figure Infiniti only made ~5-10% of sedans 6mt.

Ahh, you have that backwards....That is the only reason I got a stick, so she couldn't drive it!
