Sedan battery replacement, any precautions?

I plan to replace my battery this weekend after purchased a new one from Costco. Is there any precautions that I should take when replacing the battery. In the manual, only the coupe has some precautions, such as locking the doors, etc, not the sedan. Those of you who have done it by yourselves, please provide input. Many thanks in advance.

Unclip and remove the plastic battery cover. Always disconnect the negative terminal first, then the positive terminal. Unscrew and remove the bolt-down clamp (might be a tight fit in there so be careful not to lose the hardware). Remove the old battery and clean up any dirt/water/leaves which reside in the compartment where the battery sits. Install new battery and follow instructions stated above backwards.

i normally just roll all the windows down or leave the door open when i replace the battery.

u can make sure you remember how to setup your homelink if you use it and radio station order.

make sure you get all of the plastic clips when you remove the battery cover. I spent over ten minutes the first time trying to get it off because I forgot one of the clips, lol

I use a small SLA battery clipped to the battery cables so I don't lose all the settings. Just be carful you don't short anything. Put some old socks over the cables as you remove them.

FWIW, I replaced mine with Costco's Kirkland Fitment 3 battery today. After getting $9 back for the core fee, I ended up paying $66.37 after tax.

The OEM battery is still going strong, but once it dies i'll be going with a Red Top Optima. Had one in my maxima and 8 years later its still going strong.

I recently upgraded to a Red Top after my original died. The difference in starting is huge. The original lasted 4.5 years and 50k miles in Texas temperatures. I always kept the fluid at the correct level. Near the end of its life, I was frequently charging it with the BatteryMinder. I charged it for over two weeks straight while on vacation, and when I got back it still only had enough juice for one start. At least I know I got everything I could out of it.
