Question for TTRANK...

What front bumper is on your car in this pic? I've never noticed it before, and after the NISMO, this is the best looking one I've seen...

It was an Impul style that Eric (Klumzyee) tried to make for us. The fitment was way off and he decided to scrap the project. I spent a ton of time getting it to fit my car and it still needed a lot of work. I gave up when my Kuruma Z style from Rookie showed up.

That bumper is still sitting up at my friends paint shop about 80 miles from here. I just told him yesterday he could throw it away because I won't have time to come pick it up for at least a few weeks.

+1 Please don't throw it away. That is such a unique bumper for the 1st gen sedans. I'm sure someone on here wouldn't mind putting in the extra time and effort to make it fit right.

I can try to ask him. I know he won't ship it and I don't have time in the next couple weeks to go up and get it. I can see how much longer he can hold onto it. His dad owns the paint shop and he just called me a few days ago to tell me I had to get it ASAP because he is being told to get rid of it.

I just called him and he can hang onto it for me. It's in a big box and won't be cheap to ship. Is someone serious about wanting it? If you pay for my gas to go up and get it and pay for shipping it's yours.

Gas would be ~$50 and shipping will depend on how big that box is. I will have to check but I would guess at least $100-150.

If anyone is over this way and wants to drive to Prescott, AZ and get it, they can have it.

That bumper is better looking than the Nismo. I actually don't like my Nismo anymore. I want an 05-06 front bumper now.

How much work is this going to take to get installed on an 03-04? I mean I realize it fit on your car, but did it fit well?

Also, how much do you think it would cost to paint TB?

I'm definitely interested

You're crazy man!!! Crazy!! If you're looking to get rid of your NISMO front bumper I'll be happy to take it off your hands.

I will install as-is. It has been a long time but if I remember right, the issues were: (1) the fender arch lines were off. What I mean is that the bottom is closer to the tire on the bumper side than the back side. That is a pretty easy fix but will take some time to re-shape it. (2) There is small chunk in the front that needs filled. That one is easy. (I bumped into a curb when parking) (3) The lower grille line is a bit off. (4) It needs re-painted.

I'm not half as fast as a shop so I know they could make it right pretty quickly.

I would guess a paint job would be ~$300 and another couple hundred in making it fit right. It may vary from shop to shop. That's just a guess.

Eric ended up giving the bumper to me after I had all the fitment problems. I have ~$150-200 in materials and a ton of time getting it to the point where it is now. I am willing to write this off completely if I can find another home for it besides the land fill. Like I said, it will take me a day to drive up there, pick it up and drive back down. I only want money to cover my gas and a cheap lunch so ~$50 plus whatever it would take to ship it.

-Tim
