If You Got Borla

I just installed the borla true duel for a sedan and I had a few questions for the owners.. How do you like your exhaust, Im going to admit that at first I was dissapointed in the sound level but then began to realize that I drove a sedan and not a coupe and began to live with it. For those who have the exhaust do you guys wish yours was louder? Does the sound of the exhaust get better as you break it in? Also right after your exhaust was installed was it emmiting clouds of smoke? just some questions...

Re: If You Got Borla

It's supposed to emit some "smoke" for the first few miles. Just crud in the exhaust.

I think the sound is perfect. Then again, I have the Z-tube and pop as well. So beautiful.

Re: If You Got Borla

I found the Borla exhaust system noise level somewhat reduced when I recently installed the UR crankshaft pulley. It's still too loud for my wife but just about right for me. The stock exhaust was very quiet.

Re: If You Got Borla

I don't have it yet, but after our recent meet in VeGas I got to experience Geo's G. All the same floor plan as my G only I have a 6MT. I am looking for a quiet exhaust and the Borla fits perfect. If you wanted loud, you should have gotten the Stillen.

P.S.
For those who care. I drive a Silver Sedan 6MT CA license plate "KRZ HAYN" = "Krazy Hawaiian". A "Shaka" is always welcome.

Where are you located, sickprelude?

I have the Stillen (I'm in NC) and it's very loud when combined with the high flow cats. Wanna swap?

Re: If You Got Borla

I love my Borla with the K&N Typhoon! The "drone" at low
rpm takes some getting use too. When you call for the power,
they let you know the horses are comming.
Good Luck,

I love the sound of the Borla. The "drone" from 2000-2500 RPM can get annoying but since I usually drive around city street in 3rd gear I keep the RPM's over 2500.
