acceleration lag when flooring pedal

couldnt find another thread so if there is please point me to it! otherwise.. i have the 2003.5 5AT sedan w/ mods including grounding it which was supposed to help.. but still when i push the pedal all the way down to floor it, it takes a second for the car to actually get moving. its lag or something. anyone know how i can fix this??

Its normal....get the 6spd if you want instant throttle response.

If you haven't already, turn the traction control off (located under the dash on the left side). The traction control will keep you from spinning the tires on full throttle acceleration. This will make the car feel sluggish, almost like hitting a rev limiter.

tip tronic and knock it down to the gear first, it takes off with minimal throttle input and will put a smile on your face!

Mine like, lags then it puts on full power. like it accelerates, just slowly. Then it just adds on the power.

Well below 3k rpm, this car just doesn't go anywhere lol. It's like at 4k+ it comes alive and roars!

alright tonight i will try the tiptronic thing and downshifting so i get into 3500rpms+ and floor it and see how that goes.

i think this is the way all the sedans are.

You can see the lag if you have a data logger. My G35x leaves the line strongly and then at about 12 to 16 mph it bogs down. There is no need for that. In fact, if I understand the explanation of how the AWD works, it should be de-coupling the front wheels about then and accelerate FASTER because of less friction loss.
