Bought a G35.... should I be worried?

So... I was in the market for a used car and I wasn't planning on getting a G35 (I am on a limited budget), but I had always wanted one and once I drove one, I was hooked. So I ended up getting an automatic 2003 G35 sedan with 75k miles instead of a cheaper, slower, junk car. I did not get an extended warranty.

I was pretty excited untill I got home and started reading this forum on potential engine replacements due to oil consumption issues and the like...

How worried should I be about this on my cars year and model?

How reliable is my G35? With 75K miles on it, is there a chance of being affected by the oil consumption issue? Should I have purchased the extended warranty?

Thanks for any help!

Your car wont have oil consumption issues. Its an 03.

Oil consumption only occurs on 05+'s with 6mt.

With that being said Wannabe, what concerns are there for the '05 6mt. Oil changes for the '05 6mt are every 3k or 5k miles? I haven't check on it yet.

For the '03s, you should look into and see if the fuel filler hose recall was done for your car. This was mandatory for all '03-'05 sedans and coupes, I believe.
