Engine gets "stuck" in the morning

When I drive my car in the morning, the engine gets "stuck" while i accelerate, then it continues normally. could it be that the engine is cold and needs to warm up?

anyone else had this problem before?

That is your ABS testing itself.

Sometimes when you first get in your car (mostly it seems to happen to me when I brake more than just a tiny tap for the speedbump in my condo complex) you can hear your ABS system testing itself. It'll make a sound similar to your car going over rumble strips (but much quieter).

I'd wager, more than likely, the strange sound you are hearing isn't your engine getting "stuck" but your ABS system testing itself.

yes arm up your car but DO NOT WARM UP your car for longer than 30secs to a minute max start driving moderately until it reaches normal temperature if u don't want to wear your cylinders out, even in the harshest winter google this and you will see.

I think he is having the same problem I get some mornings... literally you drive a little hit the brakes then give it gas and it feels like its in neutral and then it will connect again in a second of this. Power then reaches to the wheels and slips a little....

Is it stuck in 1st gear, then lurches forward with a hard shift to 2nd?

When was the last service interval on your tranny fluid?

happens with a lot of cars. I especially experience this problem with my e36 bmw. The manual says that it does this to help warm the engine faster.
