Mercedes wheel fitment on a G35 ???

Today i met a guy at the tire shop where i was getting 2 tires for my oem 19s

The guy had a 05 C240 mercedes, so he says " hey im selling my wheels as i need to trade my car back in to the dealer in december.

So i say what kind of wheels and he shows me his car on the lift,

They are MRR GT1 black with polished lip size 18x8.5 all around

so i tell him they wont clear my brembos and he says the clear his AMG bbk so i say lets give iot a shot i put ther rim on and to my surprise it cleared the brembos, the wheel spins and you get about 1/2 inch clearence

I was real surprised cause the ofset is 35 all around, the wheels would need hub centric rings to sit properly,

My question is how di this wheel of a mercedes clear my brembos and fit a G35 ?

Unless...

a.) You're running adapters
b.) The wheels have 2 different bolt patterns

... they will not fit.

We are 5X114.3. Mercs are 5x112.

Adapters will ruin the offset that you mentioned before.

I would be careful, you could damage a wheel bearing by causing your hub to shake if the wheel isn't the correct bolt pattern. Just watch out and post pictures!
