Busted!!

I've had my G35 for about 6mos now and have been on the receiving end of THREE tickets. Granted two were probably valid for speeding (63 in a 45, and 80 in a 65). But Friday takes the cake, I got nailed for lack of licence plate on the front end (I had placed the color matching panel in place of the plate on the front bumper). While sitting there listening to the officer lecture, I saw 2 cars parked in front of me with the same lack of plate (corvette and Lexus IS300). Is this just bad luck..or am I driving a cop magnet?

Re: Busted!!

Bad luck...
I do not intend to put a front plate on my G either. Hopefully I won't get popped.

Re: Busted!!

i had a new acura and didnt want to drill holes in my new bumper but i got a ticket. So i put two screws in a vice grip and used a sauw and cut them so just the top flat part was thier. Then i glued them to the front of my licence plate. To give the impression they where screwed into the bumper. When i got to the police station for the inspection i put double sided sticky tape on the back of the plate and just stuck it on the bumper. It works every time its the funniest **** .But you have to pay the 10 bucks .Better than holes in your bumper.

Re: Busted!!

CHP has always been pretty cool about it but the officers in Pleasanton seem to have very little else to do. Pulled my Mustang over leaving my work parking lot at 3am after working all night because 1 of my license plate lights was out. Then they proceeded to have me perform field sobriety tests (not alot of fun when you had been working since 6am the prior morning) and I failed, took them 35 minutes for me to convince them that I wanted to take a breath test because I hadn't been drinking.

Seemingly, it doesn't happen while in the new car....hmmmm

Re: Busted!!

viqq - I think thats all just bad luck, but sorry to hear about your troubles. I'm curious, how much $$$$ were your speeding tickets for?
