Purchasing Enkei Rims

please do some research before you want to school someone on offset. although the offset is way off for his vehicle(the offset is HIGHER than oem wheels, which means they will sit more in to the fender), he will not need to pull his fenders...he would only have to if the wheels were a -12 offset or so.
Personally, I'd never run adapters regardless of the wheel. But since I do have to recommend adapters from time to time, they'd have to be a minumum of 25mm thick; what H&R runs. That will give a final offset of 15mm if the wheels were 40mm offset and 20mm if they were 45.
Okay, you got me. He will not need to pull fenders, but he WILL need to roll them. All this work and extra cost to get a 'deal' on some wheels? If he took the money that he'd spend on wheels, adapters and fender work, he could have a set of wheels that fit and look proper on the car.
Please use some common sense before you call someone out. I collect and rebuild BBS RSs and sell them, mostly to the BMW and VW community. Offset is everything to these guys, so I need to know them well enough to get the barrel/lip/face combinations I make. I wouldn't be selling wheels if I didn't understand offset.
