not sure if its been posted but to get the address book back you have to take off the shortcut menus or something along the lines of that. its under options and the 2nd from the bottom. i enable short cuts and it took alway all my features, like disable tollway, save people's addy. and etc

i know the new 7.x series navi has split screen. i've used it on the new m45.

our 6. series doesn't not sure about the 6.7 i'll find out shortly. i got my confirmation last night.

when i used the 7 series. it felt like a aftermarket navi with all the little options i had. but then again on the m45's its a lot easier to type and stuff. i have the same **** problem everyone stated. my gf cant type on it at all... so i have to be the one doing all that.

AFAIK the updates will just be newly laid out maps, in some cases most people will not notice too much of a difference. anyone interested in new 6.7 update please PM me i'll leave it at that.

i

sweet, does it seem faster, any new features or just updated data? Is the new 355 extension added?

So i drove to work with it last night and well the update seems to take a little longer to load. normally when i start my car pull out and close my garage door, the navi is loaded up.

Now it took a little longer. i went out of my alley and infront of my house before it loaded up. Icons and format were all the same. I didn't loose my address book or anything like that. It looks the same. The route i take to work is exactly the same. It did update the new one way street i have in my area. It no longer asked me to take that route.

Will post up more as i go along...

I found another cool feature tonight with my 7.x version of the NAV. If i turn on gas station icons, every nearby gas station on the map gets highlights with a MOBIL or SHELL or whatever brand it is icon.

Now i dont need to search around when my low fuel light comes on in an area i am unaware of!

Does 6.x do that too?

mines(6.6) shows the gas stations, malls/shopping centers and muesum. it doesn't show the name of the gas station but show the name of the other places.

it shows gas stations but not brand, i thought it would show brands like an upgraded icon but it didn't. My friend's Si does this and its a neat feature but for me, I don't care about brand i care for price.

I drove around today from work and school. It 6.7 disc delay slowly gets shorter then my 6.4 but it is still present. I would say maybe 10-20 more seconds then my 6.4 the first couple of times was more of 30-40 seconds. Hopefully in time it gets better and faster with detecting. It doesn't bother me but i can see some people getting mad about it.

Its overall faster then the TomTomOne my gf has, that takes aleast 90 seconds to boot up and get signal.

are you running the burned copy of the map data right now? If so, try swapping out the burned copy for the original and see if it makes a difference.
