I live in the Sacramento area. Some gas pumps have the rubber boot that covers the gas nozzle to collect gasoline vapors when filling up. Unfortuneately, whenever I use one of these types of pumps, the pump shuts down due to back pressure. The Infiniti service dept. says they've seen this several times and have corrected the problem by replacing the gas tank. Anyone else seen this????

 

I need to to see if I can get that too as I have the exact same issue with some pumps.

covered in many posts previously. you will usually see this at costco, as they change their filters more often than other stations (they keep their systems pumping at 6gal minute)

Chevron and mobil will change their filters occassionally.... haven't been to arco with the G [img]/w3timages/icons/tongue.gif[/img]

if you turn the gas handle 180 degrees (upside down) you will not have the problem... but you may overfill... be careful.

Twisting the handle has no effect what so ever. You just click and click and click. I usually have to change pumps and hope for the best or just hit another station.
