Already did with a 6LED bulb. Nice and bright and white.


Sedans don't have glovebox lights...do they? There is no light in mine

 

the glovebox should have some type of light. everytime i turn on my headlights that glove box light is on... either the glove box or something in my dvd-rom box lights up... i notice it at night.

 

Well i changed out the rear lights tonight. They were easy. I'll do the lower door lights when it stops raining so i can lay on the ground.

I looked in my glovebox and there is no light at all. Weird

 

i wanna find the site for the surface mount ones too...
for all my lighting, i took the fixtures apart and made boards to fit in full of leds. i did the 4 lights in the celing, the puddle lights, tail plate ect.
also, an idea for someone that i did and works amazing is making a board with like 5 or 6 leds for each side of the trunk.
also, for the light in the glovebox, its only on with parking lights, and its mostly covered by a piece of plastic. really dumb. i changed that to LED, but i also added one that shines into the actually compartment to light it up better. il try to get some pics up later on 2night for ideas/il do a writeup for anything anyone wants

 

Ok, i see the glovebox light now. Gues i didn't have my lights on before.

Does anyone know what size bulb that is so i can change it out?

 

idk, its REALLY small though. its like 1.5 grains of rice size. just beware, if you get an led to replace it, its gotta be at a 90 degree angle because the light goes in the side of this little box thing.
ps- same light in that, the shifter light, and the lights around the cigarette lighter and in the ashtray

 

Hmm, superbrightled's has a 3-SMD #74 bulb. I wonder if that will work. It's 6 lumens so if it does it should be a LOT brighter than the crappy bulb in there now.


I just put an order in for a few more LED's from them the other night too

 

haha i just buy like 200 bulbs at a time, decide something should be white/brighter/led and go for it. i think its cheaper? who knows

 

True. I might as well LED up my other car.

Guess i should just make a list and make one big order

 

u will always overlook something when u make a BIG list or you will have people ask you to buy them some and yea... i've been down that road before...

 

so back to my question on what SURFACE MOUNT LEDS are you using to replacing the amber surface mounts behind "disc, am/fm" and all those??
