Hi, I'm thinking about buying an 03-04 sedan and have questions.

Hello everyone, I'm in the market for a used car and the 03-04 Infiniti G35 Sedan fits me perfectly and can be had for cheap.

My biggest worry is everyone's complaint regarding interior rattles. Is it really that bad or is this a coupe specific problem?

I have never been to a car forum where one of the main complaints is interior rattles and that happens to be one of the things I detest the most about cars.

Anyways...that's it really... thanks for any advice.

I'd be more worried about the radio issue if I were you.

I've noticed an occasional rattle on the passenger side in my 04 sedan recently. Not when someone was over there, though, who could have attempted to isolate it.

Other than that, a torn floor mat, the main issue with my car is some paint scratches. And some scuffs in my wheels from getting too close to the curb.

No problems so far with my car... If any rattles occur, they are very easy to deal with!

If you are buying a used car and you are worried about rattles, than you should go buy a brand new one G... just my 2 cents!

No rattles here.

I'm pretty particular too. I hear one pop up now and then and start looking around, then I remember and reach down and grab my water botle in the cup holder and it goes away. I feel better again.

The only rattle I hear comes from the passengers side when I have the bass turned up on the radio. I haven't pinpointed it yet, but it's only mildly annoying. Everything else is quiet as can be.

I understand that used cars will have some rattles, but some people make it sound like the cars are utter rattle boxes. It's one of the most prominent complains I hear about the G35...the problem is that I don't know if it's the coupe that has this problem or both.

Brand New G37's cost over $45K down here ( I live in Puerto Rico ) so that's not an option...especially when I can get an 03-04 for $10K-$13K.

The rattles aren't that bad. I only have a few barely notice them. I usually drive with my radio cranking or ALL my windows down anyway.

With all the driving I've done and the miles I have on the car, I think the rattles are relatively tame and with the radio up, I never hear them anyways

Yep I've had a couple minor rattles on mine since it was a year old. I've also replaced the Blose head unit twice. Look for posts where people compain about "stereo not working, no dash lights, and A/C stuck on heat" or "CD error F0"... that would be the bigger worry for me after reviewing posts on this forum.

Hmmm...interesting. Is there a permanent fix for the radio/dash problems or is this something that people just live with?

radio is going to be a bigger problem to consider. But it's not a big deal to either buy aftermarket or just replace it with another stock radio.
