I try to wash mine every couple of weeks or so. After I wash it, it only stays pristine for a day or two, then begin accumulating dirt, which the silver hides well. There are times when I'm tempted to take it to one of the better local car washes, but I haven't yet in almost two years.

Does anyone here take their G to a car wash?

Yes.

Though I took mine to a detail shop last week for it's first wax job since I purchased it last fall.

Me to coworker.... "hey, join me at the next G35 driver meet..."

Coworker... "no thanks.. I only bought it because it fit my need for a transporation vehicle."

I try not to park my car next to his cuz mine will make his jealous by talking about all the fun she had last weekend.

Folks may think that's condensation from the A/C, but those are really tears from his car. Poor thing.

Franklin, I run mine through a touchless wash at the local BP/Amoco at least once a week. I use the middle wash because it gives double suds and undercarriage wash but no "wax". Used regularly it does a good job of keeping her looking good between hand washes.
