Re: I guess it was my time...

Pesti, got a little frisky let's say, a little while back and spun out in an intersection during lunch, messing up his wheels and some suspension. BTW, he had his VDC off I think and it was a little damp or there was a puddle.

Re: I guess it was my time...

Yes, I know about Pesti's past fun day. (In fact, I'm probably one of the ones to have given him the hardest time about it! Sorry Pesti!) But this thread is discussing his recent speeding ticket (80 in a 65), and what he should do about it.

So, if you mean his curb-incident is going to raise his insurance and he shouldn't worry about the ticket adding to it, I'd beg to differ. I'd be all that much more concerned about the ticket affecting the insurance, as having 2 incidents inside of a month wouldn't be a good thing. I'd definately want to negate the ticket so that the insurance doesn't decide to drastically bump the premiums after determining that he's a reckless risk for them.

What will affect the insurance is the $5k+ claim he had on an "At Fault" accident and then they find out about the ticket.
I agree that he needs to take care of the ticket the best way that will not have his insurance company pick it up on the wire.

Yeh Pesti, do what you can to keep this off your record dude. They've already got you on that at fault claim from last month.
You don't want to give them any more 'ammo'. Good Luck bro.

Re: I guess it was my time...

It would make a difference how the insurance company determines premiums. I have Allstate and and 2 points from tickets or an accident will forefit the "good driver" discount.
I do think it's in Pesti's best interest to get the ticket off his record, and that fighting it is a worthwhile pursuit. I didn't want him to not take that course for fear that he couldn't go to driving school if he lost in court.
Sorry for any confusion.

Re: I guess it was my time...

pesti,
did you file a claim w/ your insurance when you "spun out" earlier in the year and had to get all those repairs?
if so, did you insurance rates go up cuz of that?
