Sedan exhaust system

This is a newb question, but Im piecing together an exhasut system for my 05 sedan, which right now is gonna consist of MR long tubes, Motordyne xyz y pipe, stock mid pipe and hks rear section. Now I havent seen the car yet so I just wanted to make sure this is all I will need, so is it? Thanks in advance!

yup that is all you need. u might wanna get the coupe midpipe as well because thats sounds much better than the stock sedan midpipe. IMO if you are already spending so much money on your setup, why not stick with one brand, like stillen, or borla, this way you will not have any fitment or other problems. i spent around $450 to get my used tanabe catbakc, kinetix hfc, and stillen y pipe. jus a couple of options you have. it depends how much money u wanna dish and what type of sound u wanna have. look around the classifieds section and you might get a good deal on the things you want.

You have a very valid point as to staying with a certain brand. My reason is 1, only 2 companies(that i know of) make long tubes for our cars and MR has a warranty, 2 the xyz has alot of r&d so I know it will make good power, and the HKS has the best sound of the exhausts I have heard. Im not to worried about fitment issues, I have a few shops close by that can handle any modifications if neccessary, al though I really hope none is needed. A quick question though, with me eliminating cats will I need o2 simulators so the car wont throw a code?

Yes on the O2 Non-Foulers, most shops can do that for you for pretty cheap.. As for your set-up, I would not keep the sedan midpipe. other than that, I don't know much about any brands I have never bought lol..

What exactly "needs" to be done? Doesnt the o2 non fouler just replace the 2nd o2 sensor?

Ive done alot of reading on here and that is what I always read was that the 05-06 middy is the best sounding over the 03-04 sedans and all the coupes.

its all preference on sound...me personally i love the coupe midpipe with the HKS

the XYZ pipe will allow you to put in your test pipes/HFC

your best route would be to use the HFC and then you wouldn't need to space the o2 sensors but will get great gains

when it comes to HKS, u have to get the coupe midpipe! It really magnifies that pissed off sound in general and especially when you lift off throttle at 15 second mark:

it is more tame without the cp midpipe imo
