Yesterday after work, I finally got around to installing the HKS rear section Sport exhaust on my '03.5 sedan. Battling darkness, a crappy flashlight, stubborn rubber hangers and mosquitoes (yes, mosquitoes in the winter) preying on my legs, I successfully installed the exhaust in 1 hour. It's lighter compared to the stock muffler, but more importantly, the sound is deeper with more groan (not close to the sound of a coupe but that's not my pursuit). Starting up the car has never been more fun, not to mention stepping on the gas
Big thanks to 4 Door Skyline who sold me the exhaust earlier this month
Glad we made the sale happen in Miami, and hope you're doing well bro!
Here's a pic of the HKS exhaust (sorry the tips are a little dirty, was too tired after the install to clean them up)

Here's a before vid clip with the stock muffler (paired with 05/06 sedan midpipe):

And here's an after vid clip with the HKS exhaust (paired with 05/06 sedan midpipe):

Keep in mind that the sound recorded from the video may sound raspy but realistically, it's not raspy at all. You have to listen to the exhaust in person to appreciate it

I had an HKS bought new from Riverside. I ended up removing it and selling it (no problems, sold quickly to someone on this board) because there was an annoying drone/boominess at the most inopertune times, like on light throttle when going up a slight rise at about 65 MPH. On full throttle and around town the sound was awesome but I could not take the drone since much of my mileage is at that critical point. I miss the sound and wish there was a solution the the drone. I am now at 80,500 miles on my 05 "X" with the stock muffler still on. I'm glad that others either don't have this drone or don't mind it. Best of luck with your purchase.
