Re: Stock sedan dyno

I don't think there is one!

By the time someone gets around to dynoing, they've got a couple of mods!

Cheers, ted

Re: Stock sedan dyno

that's not actually a real dyno report, that's from some free software you can download called Car Test. Although giving you ball park figures its not real. If you search on the forums there are some figures and dynos for stock 6mt. I'll see if I can dig any up. I may still have mine from last year. I'll check.

Re: Stock sedan dyno

Thank you, smcallis, that's what I was looking for. Can you tell why the torque curve on the un-modified car drops so quick at 2500 rpm?

Re: Stock sedan dyno

In order to be efficient at 6,000-6,500 rpm a 4 valve per cylinder engine sacrifices air flow [power] below 2500 rpm. Fact of life when you have 2 big [1.465"......3.37 square inch area] valves feeding smallish volume. These 2 valve have more area [7% more] than a Chevy 350 2.02 racing valve.

Re: Stock sedan dyno

How come the modified dyno doesn't have a sharp drop at the low RPM then?
