Nismo may bring a twin-turbo, but I don't see them giving us a supercharger in the near future.

There's a delimma; go with an "off-brand" and get exactly what I want, or stick with "factory approved" and only get close.
At least I have a while to think it over.

A little birdie told me in here.
Makes sense to me, too. Nissan seems to be a fan of twin-turbos in the past.

What's the advantage of twin turbos over one big turbo?

Less mass in the impellers. Smaller turbos give you faster spool up = less turbo lag and better low RPM response.

Are they usually the same size, or do they have small/big turbo pairs, where the small one gives you low-end and the big one gives you more oomph?

They are usually the same because they have to give the same Air Ratio. They are connected to the same intake and exhaust so, you really dont want an unbalanced pressure.
I personally like Twins, one reason cuz of the sound, second cuz you Generate more power in ways. And third.. faster spool up and that is particularly good for cornering. Now DRAG, total different story. Everyone will use a single. But one thing to keep in mind, Both the WRX and LANCER EVO's use single turbos and they are fast as hell.. so it can be a debate. =)
But if i were to have extra HP for my G35, I will choose twins over single anyday.
Superchargers are reliable, but the boost is just not the same. Its more relaxing, so for those who like that feel instead of a sportier push, SC's might be something for you. For the same price or maybe less, turbos give much more but tend to kill your engine over time if not prepared properly.
DONE (hands tired)

So, theoretically, would 3 or 4 even smaller turbos be better?

Yes if you can stick them in.
You would be the first to do it, so when you do remember ME!!
2 is the most you can put so far in technology. Triple turbo would sound so cool
