Tinted Window ?

Can you tint your windows when you lease the car?

Yup. The bank is perfectly happy to let you spend your own money to increase the value of their car. Now, ripping out the dash for a custom stereo they may question....

As long as the tint is in good condition at lease end, you are fine. They can penalize you if its damaged or bubbled though.

Re: Tinted Window ?

I lease all my cars and have tinted every one of them. Have never had a problem at the end of my lease

Re: Tinted Window ?

Not tinting your windows just because its a leased car is wasting your money? Thats a silly statement..
"Yeah, i want the hot sun beating down on me for 36 months just because im not going to own this car 3 years from now.. "
I tint all of my leased cars too. $180 for tint, divided by 36 months is only $5 a month.. Well worth it to me!

Re: Tinted Window ?

I wasn't worried about the money, I was worried about what the leasing company would say when I turned it in. Anyway I am going to a tint place this weekend to ask questions and pick out a shade. I will probably have it done this week while I am on vacation.

Re: Tinted Window ?

I talked to a window tinting person today. When we were outside looking at my G , it was in the shade the windows already look tinted to me. When I held up a piece of film 35% it didn't look too much darker. The guy told me you have to see all windows done to see a difference. Are the windows already tinted. Whats your opinion?

Re: Tinted Window ?

35% is nice!!! Check my pics, I have 38% on the sides and 30% on the rear windshield.

If you like it black, almost solid , go for a tint in the 20's range. I think 35-38% is a great medium-dark tint!
