But will it help with the 1 to 2 shift? Yes.

I've heard our flywheel is HEAVY though. Are you saying when I replace my clutch I shouldn't get a little bit lighter flywheel?

no one else mentioned it, but change the fluids too. way past 30k, should do it all

These G35 clutches seem to not last very long. At 48k miles it might be worked, so does it slip in 5th/6th gear when you are going up a hill and smash the gas pedal?

^ a clutch not lasting is entirely reliant on the driver's ability or driving habits. if you drive normally with good technique and stay off the clutch then the clutch will last a long time. if you track your car, or abuse it on the street, then the clutch can wear out very quickly. this is the case in any manual car.
