Running differant tires on an X

Ok guys just wondering, tonight i had a bit of a problem, and im wondering it its bad to run differant tires on my X. Not differant sizes becuase i know i need them to be same all around, so would it be bad to run differant tires?

Im also in a rush so i need this answer ASAP, because i need to go out and get a replacemnet tire tomarrow

Are you talking about brand of tires or mixing and matching tires left/right or front/rear? If you replace tires it is best to run the same tires front and rear. But you can run different front to back you are short on cash. You should never run different tires on the passenger side than the driver's side. You can put any brand you want on your car as long as they are the same size.

If the tire size on the front and the rear is different, it will be fine to drive a couple miles? He has a flat on the front and the back (same side), might not be able to find the same size spares.

Exact same brand/size is the best but you can run different brands in the same size if needed. The rotations per mile will be a tiny bit different but it can be done.

I was thinking of posting a thread on this.

Just got my wife a used g35x didn't notice the tires were diffrent, felt the tread.... but didn't look closly.

the car has brand new nexen 7000 on the front, still has the nubs on them.

Then a toyo proxi on the left back, and a kuhma on the right back.

I'm trying to just find nexen 7000 for the back to even it out.

I would assume i'm doing no damage to the differentials or anything right? Just might not work best in conditions.

Nexen are cheap but loud, but i guess that fine for now, i really dont want to replace all four tires, when there are brand new one on the front.

The Toyo is in pretty good condition, so i could always get just a single toyo.

Or my full size spare is a bridgestone, which is never used. so in theory i could buy a singl bridgestone and use thespare, but i still think im going to gowith nexen if i can find them, so they all match.

Or you could buy 4 new decent tires and then sell the used ones and make some of your money back.

If you want to get buy for now, get two more Nexens and sell the other two tires. I've gotten decent money for used tires. With the way the economy is, if there is any life in the tire, toss it on CL and someone will come for it.

Do you have nexen n7000? and if so, do they hum on your car at like 60+?

They seem to on mine, and i am assuming its the tires, and not something else.

If you can't find the exact same tires, try to match the tread and performance of the tires as closely as possible.
