Help, my g35x is terrible in the snow

I have to disagree. I just bought Bridgestone Potenza G019's a couple months ago and they have been rocking.
We got about 48" overnight (8 feet total from Sun-Wed morning) last Tuesday and my car drives like a champ through it.

I'll tell you one thing though, it will slide when you are on a hill and almost come to a complete stop when theres a crapload of snow/ice on the road. The car is heavy and I think winter tires will make a difference here. Everywhere else I'm in love with the handling.
I love slamming on the gas and drifting in deep snow.

Yes they do help a lot.. I had some ****ty cooper all seasons on there before. These G019 handle well on ice/snow.
Unfortunately for me, it looks like the snow season is about to end...so no more crusing around in snow storms for me

just now got a chance to look at the name brand on my tires, they are Solus KH16, the same as the original poster of this thread. I know ya'll say these tires suck more than the NY Mets in September, but so far, so good for me.
But I'll certainly consider a higher recommended set of tires when these wear down. The dealer did not tell me how old the tires were despite me asking several times, but I did get a glimpse at the sales guy notes, and noticed "2 years" next to the word "tires" with my name at the top..... since it's been almost a year now, I'd figure another 2 years, and then time to start looking...

Those are H rated Grand Touring type tires, several grades below what Infiniti recommends for the G35. Of course they're crappy, it's a tire grandma would put on her Oldsmobile.

I've used Nokian WR on two of my previous cars. They are better than all season tires but they don't come close to dedicated winters (I have Blizzaks). If you are looking for a non-performance tire to run year round, they are are a good choice.
We just got 18" of snow here in Des Moines and my '06 G35x worked beautifully with (new) all-seasons. Hankook V4S 105H, which are performance A/S tires and not rated any better than middling in light- or heavy snow.
Driving in snow comes down to having tires with good remaining tread, and driving gently and wisely given the conditions. Winter tires can improve stopping and in some cases getting going. But my experience is that, like four-wheel-drive SUVs, they inspire more confidence (and thus higher speeds and more risk-taking) than their improved traction warrants.
Knock wood, I've never had difficulty getting around (or been in the ditch) in Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, or Oregon with anything other than front- or all-wheel-drive and A/S tires.

+1. people don't seem to realize that the 4x4 or awd does nothing when their braking, only when accelerating. So you end up with people having this invincible feelingg, driving around like there is nothing on the roads In the middle of a blizzard.
