Makes it sound pretty easy to install. Worst part seems to be routing the wire to the center console.

I found the DIY from this page: http://www.my350z.com/forum/body-int...-in-stock.html

There's a mini-faq there.

Do the paddles fix to the wheel or the steering column?
Steering column.

This is really neat. Interested to see how it all pans out, the detail involved and satisfaction gained. Nice!

Well, the Bell Paddle Shifter kit finally showed up yesterday. It only took 3 1/2 months to get here I'm shocked at the quality of the kit and it makes me feel slightly better about spending $420. The paddles are CF covered aluminum and the remaining components are anodized metal. The shift mechanism only moves about 2mm with the paddle installed. I should have these installed this weekend. Pics and video to come.

i like that second kit, the CF one uses really large weave CF, which makes it look a bit cheap, imho.

I'm not a big fan of CF either though the CF weave is the real deal. I will probably end painting my shifters a satin silver with a piece of cut leather on the backside.
