This Car is a Tank!

I recently crashed my '03 G35 Sedan. I was doing approximately 85 mph and hydro-planed off the GSPKWY into the woods. Unable to stop due to wet grass, I used about 4 or 5 trees as brakes. Thank God my passenger and I walked away without a scratch. The Car, although mangled kept us safe. Im a little concerned about the sensitivity of the airbags cause they never popped out. The total damage was around 18,500. I have pics but have no clue how to attach them.. If someone can instruct me that would be great.

Thanks,

Nloz

size your pics to under 100k bytes, place in folder in Briefcase, and browse them from your post.

Re: This Car is a Tank!

Glad to hear you're OK and that the passanger compartment is rock solid.

My concern is why you would hydro-plane off the Garden State at 85. Was there that much standing water on the road? What kind of tires do you have? Did the VSD kick in?

We need details so we can avoid ever going off-road!!!

Re: This Car is a Tank!

Glad you're OK and sorry about your G. I just test drove the G35S this past weekend and it definitely felt more solid than my 2002 Maxima and the 04 TL I test drove a few weeks ago.

I guess your accident confirmed my feeling.

2002 Maxima SE (auto)

- Falken Ziex ZE-512s (definite mod)
- Cattman Y-pipe

Re: This Car is a Tank!

Honestly, my car has approximatley 18,000 miles on it and was already in need of some serious rubber. In an attempt to get the most out of the tires i had i pushed it. I put that as the sole blame for the accident. Once you lose your tread the tracktion control is useless. It repeatedly kicked in and tried to straighten me out but the car was like a sled and just kept on sliding. Although its a sedan the car responds more like a sports car so it is necessary to keep a sufficient amt. of tread on the tire.

Re: This Car is a Tank!

I dont know why, but i am unable to post the pic of the actual accident. The car was hit on the right front end (passenger side) Being that i went into the woods multiple sections of the car were damamged as well.
