As for posting photos, they have to be less than 100k in size. Try shrinking the image a bit or reducing the jpeg quality a bit to get under the mark.

 

Damn, what does it take to total it, that's looks totalled to me, but it does look like the car is solid in an accident!

The cars over all value is so high that i would have had to do $4000 dollars more worth of damage to have it totalled.

The accident was about amonth or so ago I forget what the actual date was... It was up by exit 153.

 

Now that is one totalled car... I don't see HOW you could do more damage! Have your bodyshop guy go at every body panel with a hammer or something. Yikes.

That's for sure GeoBau, I wouldn't want that car back, it will never be the same, plus it will more than likely be obvious it was in that shape, that's ridiculous that they wouldn't total that car!

The Damage was estimated at $18,056. To total the car it must be 3/4 of the cars value in damage, so i just came short. Believe me every panel is being replaced except for the drivers door so i dont know what more i could have done to it.

 

You should do a search on this site for "diminished value". Even if (and that is a big "if") your car is repaired perfectly, this large collision damage dimishes its value. In this age of Carfax, it is not likely that someone will buy the car used without being aware of the accident. You can potentially collect a significant sum from your auto insurer for this. I'd think about selling this car as soon as the repairs are complete. If you can afford it, you may as well buy a new one now, instead of driving a rental for two months.

Agreed, I'd trade it in the day you get back, carfax probably won't even be updated by then. Then let the dealer worry about it, chances are they'll find out later and sell it to some unsuspecting customer or have to discount it heavily.
