i've noticed it from time to time, but it's usually when i'm driving really fast, so it goes away under 90...

I'm having problems with wind noise myself. Mine is both the front drivers window and rear driver side window. Riding in the right side of the car (front or back) it's a lot quieter. I haven't had the car very long and it's been too cold to mess with recently but I'm on a mission to quieten the wind noise and rattles. My buddy works on "problem cars" for Lexus and is great on this kind of stuff. He's gonna help me with mine and i'll post what he finds. The wind noise is just stupid in my car, 30 mph and over its very clear.....its LOUD in my car.

I have the same problem, it sounds like the rear passenger window. I remember my maxima had the same problem. Here is a solution a guy had for the maxima rear window noise, I might do this on the G when it gets a little warmer.

I had it in my mind to do exactly what the guy in the link did that Hoss posted. After driving today and listening carefully I'm positive that mine is coming from the back window/door. While driving I reclined the seats back a bit and the entire front window was quiet, and just past that (beginning the back window) was very loud. I already bought the stuff to do the job but the foam stuff I bought was to wide and thick and could never get it to stay in without it wanting the pull the weatherstripping out of place it was so thick with foam. I'm going to shave it down and try it again. Thanks Hoss for posting that link, I was debating if it would be a waste of time doing this or not. I'll post when I get it done and tell everyone my results.

Wow, it would be HUGE if foam tape could fix this. I'm tired of wind noise at highway speeds. It would really quiet the interior down.

Hey All,

I was having the wind noise problem as well. I brought it to my local Infiniti dealer and they replaced the weather stripping (exactly what Hossmaxima mentions) and it went away. It was covered under warranty by the way.

I'm bringing this thread back up from the dead...but I have some news. I did exactly what was posted in the link from Hossmaxima and I found out a couple things. First off I had wind noise from both right doors looking from the front of the car. I found that you can't fill the crevice the stripping goes into as much as the photos show from the maxima in the link. I had to cut my foam down to maybe 1/4 inch thickness and still some places didn't seat like it originally did. Also it seems that the tension from whatever is holding the weatherstripping tight at the front part of the door is making the weatherstripping pull away from the corner where the weatherstripping goes vertical (top-right hand corner of window). On my car every top right corner of the stripping is pulled out 1/8th inches or so. That brings me to my biggest point here.....on every window in my car 95% of all wind noise is coming from this spot. Even after the foam some air is still getting through but now I know this is the spot to concentrate on. If you guys have lots of noise....this is the place to check. Infiniti dealers must also know this because in the back door that I did, there was already foam put in that corner. It was the exact stuff I was using that my buddy from Lexus gave me in their "wind noise kit". It was even cut exact. I felt better knowing that I'm not the only owner that's trying to quiet down this car. I ran out of materials but as soon as I get some more I'm going to do the left side doors too...I think it's very productive. I observed the stripping before I ever put any foam in and when I roll the window up it barely would push the stripping out when the window came up. Now after the foam it pushes it in two or three times as much which would surely give a better seal. I'll try and post once I get the job completely done. I'm just happy to be heading toward a more enjoyable car :-)

t600 why don't you take it to the dealer it should still be covered under warranty. I just made an appointment with my dealer and they said it was covered. Will let you guys know next week went I go in.

The reason that I'm not taking this in under warranty is because I'm just not happy with how unGodly loud this car is. I can do these types of things and do them correctly. It's not a tough job at all and just takes a little time and very little money. The dealership will NOT do the job as thoroughly as I will and I'm wanting to go over virtually everything that can cause noise to enter the cabin. Also, people without warranty left will hopefully benefit from us doing this and finding out the most common problem area. Now on the other hand, the rattling from the rear deck is driving me batty and I probably will take it in to be looked at. I think removing everything to find that one will be a job.
