Stillen Sway Bar Setting Question

I have installed sway bars on my G35 sedan and have it set to medium front and hard rear. I have been noticing that my car will fishtailing a little going over large bumps and manholes when its wet. I did install new tires on my car a couple of months ago too. Do I have the rear sway set to high? Do I need to put the rear back to medium setting to eliminate this? Please give any suggestions.

I have found on my hotchkis sways that the stiffest setting (furthest from the end of the bar) in the front and medium on the rears works for me. I remember the manual stating to put the front at the stiffest setting and rear on the softest. Their picture shows 3 holes for the front but my bar has 4. I did have the rear on the stiffest but the car wanted to step out more than I was comfortable with. I would at least reduce the rear and see how you like it.

I have mine on the third from the end of the bar in front and all the way in (stiffest) in the back. It is perfect.... for ME! With the 245 40 19 Goodyear Eagle GT's and the new Tokico D-spec shocks set to 4 turns from the stiffest setting, you can just hammer the turns. Hard and fast in, break hard, downshift, set the line and just mash the gas. It never steps out or pushes.

i really doubt your car is fishtailing.....maybe you're just not used to the stiff setting in the rear. If you're that concerned just change it to medium in the rear.

I see a lot of people are running med for both front and rears. So I will try that.

I have med front, and hard in the rear. Works great for me. No fishtailing.

Are your tires bald?

I installed a front lower tie brace and I notice much better response on turns too.

Med front med/hard rear. Remember you can put the sways on different settings on each side.
