Since you've owned both - what are you impressions on the Volvo vs. the G?

I thought the volvo had a great AWD system, brakes and tourque, but the car in general had more problems, at least for me. I had to get the speedometer reflashed a couple of times because the speedometer would not work at first start up and then work fine after driving a couple of miles. They also have a problem with the parking brake in my opinion, and im sure you have heard they have a terrible turning radious. After having though think it was a great car that felt solid, I have not had the G for long enough to judge it just yet but so far it has been a great ride, with plenty of power. The only thing I was not sure about was, does the AWD only work under 20 mph? is it just for getting stuck or if the car slips on take off would it kick in?

This is my first post. Traded my 05 Mustang GT last night for a 2007 G35 with 28K on it. I love American muscle but after I rode in luxury I fell in love.

From what I've read it's like this:
From a dead stop it is always in AWD. As you roll, the computer controls how much power to send to the front wheels (as much as 50% front if needed)

Snow mode locks in the ratio at 50/50 up to 20MPH and makes the throttle response less sensitive. W/out snow it is up to 12 MPH then you're on the rears - but like most awd systems it 'kicks on' when needed. Why drive all 4 wheels all the time, right? So, if there is any slip detected, boom! awd at basically any speed.

Corrections if incorrect, plz.

I had a 2003 Mustang GT with all Roush body kit and Saleen Wheels. Wrapped it around a telephone pole about 2 months ago.
