Re: Show us your (shift) ****

Saw the Momo on Ebay the other day (0 bids), decided to wait for other action.
When I checked back it had sold for the buy now $88.
Do you think that was a little steep for Ebay???

Re: Show us your (shift) ****

Was it brand new? I paid $100 + shipping. So $88 was a good price as long as they don't rape you in S&H costs.

"Was it brand new?"
That was what I wondered as well.
The add wasn't clear, it didn't say new. I sent the seller the same question, but it sold almost right away. I got no reply.

I think you're OK. Be wary of those vague adds on Ebay.

I bought mine at performancenissanparts.com for $99.95 plus CA sales tax and S&H.

skeleton_cru
Thanks...
I'll follow up on the link.
I'd rather spend ten bucks more & be sure what I'm getting.

Cool. I think you'll love it. I posted some installation guidelines in jedmond's thread if you need assistance.

Re: Show us your (shift) ****

hey rumble

as i sit here, continuing to admire the nice job on the shifter, i was wondering, is the over lenth of the razo shifter shorter than the stock height? And was it hard to get the boot o naround the base?
once again, thanks

Re: Show us your (shift) ****

Got the 350Z a.k.a. G35 2004 AT shift **** installed on my 2003.5 sedan. I actually bought two *****, one with wood grain inset and the other with 350 titanium (a little lighter than G35 titanium). The install wasn't nearly as tough as I thought it would be but the 2004 AT **** is not a direct replacement into the 2003 model year car! You have to saw the shift column to create slots so the clip from the **** will hold it in place and you won't pop the **** off when you press the button.

Enjoy the pics (sorry for them being a liitle fuzzy - must of not been using macro!)

Re: Show us your (shift) ****

Another angle (again sorry for the fuzz!).

The **** is smaller, rounder, and has the button facing the radio rather than the side. You not only need the **** but also a compression adapter that's blue in color, Nissan part # 34951-CG000. This stupid adapter costs $20.00 or more alone from the dealer.

Re: Show us your (shift) ****

darren1219 > The Razo **** is definitely shorter than stock. I can actually make it even shorter than the pictures above, but when I do, the shift boot stitching areas rub together and prevent the **** from popping back up at times. So I just left it like how it is in the pictures. By making it lower, I mean to pull the plastic added shaft that sits on the metal shaft. You'll know what I'm talking about when you take the stock **** off.

I used a metal clothes hanger as my ring base for the shift boot...ghetto...but can anyone tell? hee hee!! I actually have the silver OEM ring that goes around the 6MT cars, but didn't wanna cut my center console. It costs like almost $200CAD to replace if I make any mistakes when cutting.

It's still a G thang!!
