Well I've owned a WRX, an STI and a G35 Sedan and I can honestly say I prefer the G over the WRX and STi but not for the reasons you think.

The WRX's isn't nearly as comfortable and the interior is cheap and really boring looking. but its 1 fun car to drive. And honestly I miss my WRX more than the STi for that reason alone. But the G Hands down is the car for me.. Looks, both inside and out. Its comfy and its just a good highway cruiser.

^ interesting. may i ask why the WRX beats out the STI on the fun-to-drive scale? too much turbo lag in the STI?

this helps show that the best resource when used-car buying is the experience of previous owners - although people have differing opinions.

 

will you be using the car for any long distance driving? the g will be so much easier on your butt and back than the wrx. it may be apples to oranges but the seats on my brother's evo 8 fell like i'm sitting on plywood compared to the g's plush seats..

 

you're entering college. you need a youthful car thats fun and can take whatever you throw at it, and won't ask too much out of your pocket when you crack a panel stuffing 5 sorority girls in your backseat on a way to a party, err i mean throwing your books in the trunk and moving from apt to apt over the years. WRX all the way.

the G is great when you grow up. for now though, you need a car with minimal thought but still loads of fun. WRX.
