Hey, you could always lease the coupe for 2 years, then make a decision later...

Although it is not rocket science, I don't feel like dropping 40K on whether or not a car has 4 doors. *rolling eyes*

Although a good idea, wouldn't I end up spending more if I lease and decide to keep it?

$40k? Is that Canadian money? You should be able to pick up a loaded G for much less than that...

Why don't you just let your wife test drive both and let her make the decision. It is going to be her car, right?

No, it is $40K USD fully loaded with taxes, title, etc. That's the way we want it...Yeah, its gonna be hers, but I'm gonna be driving it a lot also. We're planning to test drive it this weekend. I just wanted to get the info before we hit the dealerships.

Re: Sedan vs. Coupe...Which to buy? Getting married..

Seem like the sedans and coupes are pretty close performance wise. So, I think it comes down to lifestyle and personal preferences.

When I first met my wife we were in our early thirties and I had just bought a new 1989 Acura Legend Coupe. That was a pretty nice looking coupe for its time and the space in the back was adequate if not generous. It was a good choice for the two of us. We didn't plan to have kids so we weren't planning for changing needs in the short term.

I've been in sales for years and often take my clients to lunch. These guys are mostly younger than me and generally pretty hungry. So they were happy to climb into the back of the coupe but I heard my share of squabbles about who sat in back and I knew it wasn't ideal to be taking clients out in a 2-door. But that even worked for me so that I held on to the Legend for 10 years.

Fast forward to today. I'm a bit older, we have a 3 year old, and I like taking clients out where everyone gets a door.

The sedan fits my lifestyle. The coupe is gorgeous but the sedan is so much more practical.

Good luck with your decision.

Re: Sedan vs. Coupe...Which to buy? Getting married..

This guy said the sedan is weak HAHAHAH..... Almost every Z and G35 ive raced ive beaten, and yes it all comes down to driver skill and that's prob why I beat them. I also didnt "just" beat them it was by a CL or Two, they were stick. Also Ive beaten 1 G35 coupe auto, i was power breaking he didnt. Anyway for your situation i would say go with the sedan. Def. get the Nismo and Sport package and you will not be saying its weak, the coupe is hot but do what you gotta do. Martin

This thread reminds me of a vaudeville skit but I can't figure out which one of you is the ventriloquist and which one is the dummy.

IMO, the sedan with the full aero kit looks more aggressive than the stock coupe. It's also is more mature, practical.. and the reclining backseats are pimp!

iLLG35, I see you've had some mishaps with the bottom of the kit too, just like how I scraped mine coming out of the dealership =)
