Need help with windshield seal?

I just came back from the airport and found the my windshield side seal hanging there. Is there any type of sealant that needs applied before I put it back in place and is there some sort of special way that this needs applied because it will not seal.

This is the black piece of rubber that runs along the sides of the outside of your windshield.

Use Automotive Goop or Household Goop: it both seals and is a strong, pliable and transparent adhesive.

Hey check to make sure that stuff is not silicone based...if it is DON'T use it. Silicone will trap water and create condensation and cause rust which you don't want.

Your best bet is to go to a glass shop and have them reseal it with urethane...I do it all the time at work.
