Need Help Quickly! Lowering 06 X!

On the front of an 06 X, how the heck do we get the spring assembly out? it is like there is a clamp or somthing at the bottom that we cant pull the bottom of the strut assembly out of.

Anyone hav epics or some helpful advise? this is different than the RWD...

Make sure you've got the entire front end jacked up, not just the side you're working on. You'll need to disconnect the swaybar endlinks on both sides before preceding. You'll also have to press down a bit on the rotor to push the assembly down to get the spring/shock out. Finally, post pics of the area you're having trouble with.

Unscrew the nut on the bottom of the arm. Take the whole thing out. It will be easier then.

I followed exactly how pictured above and it is very easy. The stock front spring takes alot of force from the spring compressor to relieve the tension so please be careful. Also make sure you remember how the top bearing plate is on in association with the arm.
