Few questions about buying this car
It's a 2003, 5at, silver, black leather etc.
It has 65xxxkms on it (around 40miles) but it was involved in a slight accident. It is running fine now and was repaired professionally. I think he meant Nissan did it but not 100% sure. This is what he told me was replaced.
"The car was in a minor front collision (air bags did not deploy) items
replaced were: hood, pass headlight, bumper, rad support, air filter box, washer
fluid bottle. All parts were replaced w/ original parts. There was absolutely no
damage to engine or frame, everything lines up"
Is there anything I should be looking for when I check this car out? anything that might be a problem down the road?
He's asking 12,000$ canadian. Which for how clean the car is around these parts is a steal.
Any info would be great, I've never bought a car that was previously in an accident.
Thanks.

Accident?.. run. Don't get yourself involved in any cars that been in any type of accident. Even if it's a fender bender.
BTW, where are you from?
I'm in NJ selling my 03 Brilliant Silver Sedan with 61k on the clock. Cleaner than any g sedan I bet you find. If you're interested, click the link in my sig below.

I agree, don't do it unless you take it to a qualified mechanic to check out EVERYTHING. It might look good to you but you never know what might still be wrong with it, and you'll kick yourself for buying this car if you have to sink a lot more money into it after a few thousand miles.

Yea I decided against it today.
BUT! just came back from the Infiniti dealer by my house and sometime this week they have an 03' emerald mist sedan with 125K, all service done at that dealer and it was owned by a 60+ guy who supposedly took great care of it. I'm waiting for it to come in to check it out myself. They are asking $10,999 Canadian!
Stclairwest; what do you think of that? you're pretty close to my area so you know what they are worth around here.

I've been looking since October/November. Every car I've looked at have been beat. If this one is as clean as he has made it out to be, I am going to do it for sure. maybe offer $10,000

Haha, no doubt. But I'd be more than happy to pay $11,000 My offer will really decide on what kind of shape the car is in. If it's 9/10 I'll probably go 10, 8/10 $9.5 and so on lol.
When you say 125K, do you mean miles or kilometers? If it's miles, then find another car. If it's kilometers, then offer $8K and work your way up.
When I was looking for my 2005 G35x, I was disappointed they'd stopped making the Midnight Blue Pearl with a Graphite interior. I didn't want a light colored leather. But if they still made the Emerald Mist in 2005, I would have scoured the country to find a nice one, and wouldn't have cared what color the leather was. I still have no idea why they stopped making that color.

125,000 KMS, Keep in mind, I am in Canada so that Canadian Currency were talking. I really think $8000 is too low, I know it's an offer but I know the market for the Gs around South Western Ontario, and you don't find them for less than 10 unless they have 170,000kms or more.
Take a look on autotrader.ca to see what I mean.

Unfortunately, I can only see what they're being listed for, not what they're selling for. And other than kilometers, I don't know what's in the car. You could get cloth seats and no sunroof back then, so there was a much wider price range. But a good rule of thumb is to knock 20-25% off the price of a used car that's that old and use that as your starting point. It's not like you can't move up in price, and the dealer isn't going to kick you out for low-balling him. Like you said, you know that market.
Good luck!

Very true, didn't mention it's a full premium package w/sunroof. He also said there might be nav, but he couldn't remember.
So with 25%, $8,800 is where were at. If I got it for that, I'd probably cry.
Thanks for the tip/info.

Neither was I, but there are so few of them around. I want it to be something different. I am really sick of silver and black every time I stop at a light.
