Help - how much work needed to fit coupe radiator cooling plate / air diversion panel

I have a friend abroad who is giving me his coupe radiator / air diversion plate but I need to know if it is physically possible to fit this plate onto a sedan? I understand some modification to the plate is needed but how much?

PM Chris (g35papa). He modded one up to fit his sedan. I think he said the most trimming had to be done around the hood latch area. I think Tim (ttrank) is also doing this as well.

I had to trim up the ARC air diversion panel to make it fit. Not 100% sure if this applies to all other brands or not. Chris is correct, I had to basically trim around where the hood latch is and some off of my OEM grille. Tim has also done this same mod.

Some pics to illustrate

This is what it will look like after you're done the trimming to the panel.

You will also need to remove/trim some long tabs on the underside of the OEM grille. I don't know if this is 03/04 specific. Also, if you have one of the Unlimited Tuning grilles (or ebay style), there is no need to do this.

There are about 4 of these tabs on the underside. Remove them all

Finished product

that looks like it might fit straight up. Not sure though. The opening is bigger than the ARC one.

I have also thought about buying that item. Please update with pics when you get it and how it fits.

Looks like that one will fit. I have the same one Chris does and he showed me how to modify it to install.

Got it today and some sexy stuff

Too much rain though to install it - though I was this close to doing so in my shirt and tie lol!

Prob have it in tomorrow - so far as I placed it over the grill - no modification needed

Did you have to make any modifications?

That looks sweet, can't believe we never knew that the UTR would fit the sedan without modification (assuming you made no modifications).
