Re: Gas Mileage

Interesting...thanks. On most FL highways, the speed limit is 70, and 65 in some, so I guess I'll probably never see 26 mpg ;-) I'm ok with 23 mpg though, and I'm happier now that I'm getting 17 mpg in the city (I was getting 14-15 mpg) and 20 mpg in a mix of city & highway.

Re: Gas Mileage

It does definitely depend on how you drive the car if you do anything above say 75 gas mileage goes down hill fast. To get 346 miles out of my car I had to keep it between 60 and 75mph on the highway. Talk about finding patience....

But I would still like to know if anyone has come any where near 20 gallons on a fillup.

Re: Gas Mileage

Yes I've put in 75 liters in my Coupe (not by design, but by good/bad luck)...... That translates to just shy of 20 gallons U.S.
that was too close for comfort, and must have been all but empty.

Re: Gas Mileage

Sounds like there is a lot of complaining. I've got a G35x, I'm lucky to get 17 in the city and 20 on the freeway. BUT, I wouldn't trade this car for anything. I take the road less traveled OFTEN. The more curves the better. I recently went on a road trip with a friend and his '04 TL. Boring! He got 24 mpg avg. That car likes to drive straight. The driver seat was more comfortable, more thigh support. The day after our trip we went up the coast north of Morro Bay on Highway 1 in my car. Just after an hour of twisted roads and awesome sceanary, he was ready to trade in his car. To think my main purpose for this car was for the frequent ski trips.

G35X more fun.

Re: Gas Mileage

Here Here, robdado2!

I agree wholeheartedly - I could have selected any number of cars for mileage - I selected the "G" for all of it's SPORTS sedan features, with mileage I could live with. And boy, am I livin' with it !!

Re: Gas Mileage

WIth less than 1000 miles, using 93 octane, I have gotten 20 MPG. I drive 50/50 highway/city, with a lighter than average right foot.

I'm just glad to finally have my G!!

Re: Gas Mileage

AeroG:

Filled up yesterday after the light went on, had travelled 397 miles, car took 17.5 gallons to fill - that's 22.7 MPG. 60% highway/40% in town, light foot most of the time, but redline daily (just to hear it sing), and cruise at 75-80 MPH on open highway & freeway.

My results.

Re: Gas Mileage

My overall average is just over 20 miles per gallon, combination city/highway, over the 8200 miles I've driven the car.

2004, auto.

The navigation system generally reports 1 MPG higher than I actually get.
