Sux man, hope your upgrades work out. It makes it easier to take when you can come out with a better looking car.

I did the same thing years ago in a Toyota pickup. The girl in front of me stopped for a yeild sign (no traffic) started going again then stopped in the road just past the intersection. I drifted into her bending her trunk lid but doing little damage to my truck. She sued my insurence company for over $5,000

its good you hit lower level 300 because they dont have the rear parking sensors or anything mechanical in the rear. should be just a bumper cover painted or a repair job on the bumper.
I dunno. I've been contemplating going this route lately. I have several friends in the auto body industry.

Yeah, but the issue with the steel/rubber bumpers is that you feel everything, and since everyone wants a smooth ride, why not a smooth collision!

Sorry to hear about this man, I know just a regular front will probably run you ~$800, as I just got a new rear put on mine, new bumper painted ran 850, but that was also with a piece of foam underneath.

As for his car, its a 300, I don't think they are that expensive. I would base whether you're going to go through insurance on your deductible. If you have a low deductible, go through insurance, get the $800 for your Nismo, and pay for the other guys car with your deductible. However, if you have a HIGH deductible, pay out of pocket, as your not going to see any of that $800 anyway, and your just hiking your insurance for nothing.

It's not your fault for taking your foot off the brake, it's you're fault for assuming the car in front of you was taking off... Wait until he's actually gone next time.

Situations like this when a dumb*ss in front of you doesn't know how to drive or merge (same sh*t to me) is why you have two horns under the front grille! (also why I upgraded mine to louder horns)

Oh trust me I know it's my fault, it still just pisses me off

dofu, louder horns? really? that actually sounds like a good idea

I think we've all tagged a car who has done something stupid in front of us. Fact of life...there are stupid drivers. On some days, it's us. My biggest weapon against stupidity is assuming they're going to do the opposite of what I would do, and using my horn profanely....that is, so much that people start to question whether I know what I'm doing...ha

Exactly!

You can just see how differently people react to a louder horn... When I honk, people sit up (or maybe they're jumping in their seat ), think about looking around but always decide to start moving right away.

If I was behind that 300C, I would have used my horn a loooong time ago...

Most likely they will not bring it to your friend. At least your friends can take care of yours though.

He was all for taking it to my "friend's"--he's actually my 2nd cousin. Has been doing body/custom paint for 20+ years now.
