Angry Tagged a 300c yesterday

So we're both making a right turn on red.

1 car goes by. 2nd car goes by. No more cars coming.

I see the 300c's rear end squat down, he goes.

I let off the brake, look left. As I'm turning my head forward again, my toe is just getting to the point of touching the gas pedal. I immediately see nothing but "300C" on the trunk lid. I switch my toe to the brake pedal, but it's too late. Just TAPPED him, and managed to cause enough damage to **** up my whole week.

I still have NO idea why in the hell he decided to stop. I wanted to get out and ring his god damn neck.

Pics:

I'm trying to stay positive and am probably going to end up with a Nismo front--if not all of it--but god DAMMIT why do people randomly slam on their brakes?! It's 99% my fault for letting my foot off the brake without having my eyes forward, but sunnuva bitch! When you're car "squats" that means you hit the gas pretty hard, which tells me that YOU'RE GOING TO GO!!!

Bad enough that we both need new bumper covers. Mine has a hole in it where the bumper support poked through the plastic, and his looks like my bumper support ALMOST punctured his too, just creased the hell out of his.

I was going to say the same thing but you beat me to it.

Sucks Brandon. First Andrei, now you.

And i just had a massive saw fall off the shelf and literally miss the 08 G by an inch. That would have caused SERIOUS damage.

Get nismo!!

Sorry to hear about your mishap. Thank god it wasn't too bad. I was expecting to see a crumpled car when I came in here but good thing it's only minor cosmetic damage

Yeah, that's the plan now, is to go Nismo. We'll see what the insurance co wants to give me for a bumper cover.

Not a big fan of American Azz. Oh wait...

He was super cool actually. Told me if I didn't want to go through insurance he would be fine with paying out of pocket--said his wife just rear ended 2 people in 6 weeks lol. I will 99.9% sure be going through insurance.

you sure you dont want to take care of it out of pocket? shouldn't be more then $500 on his end and maybe the same for you just for the front.

its good you hit lower level 300 because they dont have the rear parking sensors or anything mechanical in the rear. should be just a bumper cover painted or a repair job on the bumper.

this highlights the problem with modern painted bumpers. sure they look nice, but they are completely impractical when it comes to withstanding impacts. the old style rubber/steel bumpers would show no damage. but new bumpers are damaged very easily. i'm sure body shops love this sort of cash cow. $300 here, $500 there, all adds up to big profits for them...
