Question Missing Engine Bay Cover?

Hey,

I've been trying to find pictures of a Sedan's engine bay, but it seems only the Coupers want to expose themselves.

My Sedan has a cover over the battery compartment (obviously), complete with little access door. Is the right side supposed to have one as well? Covering the brake reservoir and such? I've seen it on the Coupes, but don't know if I'm supposed to have one or not on that side.

I hate that heat trap. The brake side cover is a JDM option.

The hood seals with that rubber strip anyways so no need to worry about junk falling in there.

Here's an older picture of mine, don't have any recent ones because I'm still working on cleaning it up.

The cover that goes over the brake stuff does not come with the car.

OK, cool. I wondered if the dealer had forgotten to put it back on when I bought the car.

Thanks everyone.

Tim,

Your engine's siiiick. How does your car do as a daily driver? Stable in the rain? I, too, am a fellow Tim.

Peace...

There are many places to purchase the cover but probably the cheapest and most cost-effective way is to browse the Marketplace forum. There are sellers selling these covers once in a while, and they're priced reasonably (anywhere between $30 and $40). The covers are typically called "JDM RHD battery cover", and come in two versions: modified and unmodified. The modified one means the cover is cut to directly fit with our USDM G35 cars, while the unmodified one has an extra plastic flange preventing fitment in our USDM cars. Hope this info helps out.
