APRIL FOOLS!!! (not funny.)

my sister was over my parents, doing yard work for them, we had a HUGE ice storm this winter that knocked down a bajillion trees/branches. anyways she was leaving and apparently couldnt see the g behind her f150(its jacked up a couple inches, i think), smacked it right up. sucks.

i'd be pissed but i think im going to use it as an excuse to indulge in some moddage.

too bad. it always sucks to have to fix senseless stuff like this, especially if the car had no prior collision history. hopefully you find a good body shop that can match the gray colour...

it's pretty clear who's at fault here. your sis either bucks up for the repairs or her insurance pays. her choice.

That sucks pretty bad man, but any damage is always an excuse to do something to the car. Plus you can hold this against her for many years to come to get her to do nice things for you!

One thing confuses me though, why do some many females drive the biggest vehicles on the road? what are they compensating for?

I think that'll buff right out

....

that sucks, though. It's worse when a family member hits your car. You can't really get mad at them for very long because they're family...and you can't sue them, because they're family ( well, assuming you have a normally family )

yeah, i'm thinking that i'll go with a nismo or a used karukee(sp?) if i can find one, with a CF hood. the cf depends on what i read in my research. i'm def going to want to paint it, but if i find that there are issues with the hoood latch causing the paint to get stress cracks then ill go with something else, cause i dont want hood pins.

concerning the idea of a child behind her truck, that's an understandeable concern to someone whos never been out where i live, but fwiw, my parents have a farm. the closest neighbors with kids arent even on our street.

in regards to why women buy large cars/trucks, i think a lot of them buy them to make them feel the way i feel when i have a gun in my hand; that is, safe. however the problem is that so many of them treat their power the same way kids treat their guns, with flagrant disregaurd for themselves and those around them. however, in my sisters case, she has the truck because she runs a horse stable and needs to be able to get anywhere on the farm as well as tow occasional trailers. just my two cents!

^ i think the concern about the child is applicable for any location, not just the incident at your folks place (that's assuming your sister uses reverse at places other than your parent's farm). doesn't the F150 have one of those back-up proximity sensors?

interesting comments about the guns. but what if the bad guy(s) has guns as well, or gets a hold of yours?

not to get too OT, i guess what i should have said was it's an understandable concern, but it wouldn't be a real big one at my parents at that time. anyways, not the point. as for the guns, i don't think that's a valid viewpoint, in this particular conversation. it's a valid concern in general, but my example was simply to illustrate a parallel between the two.
progress(pun is unintentional) update.
progressive saves me money which i like. progressive is now saying that they think that the hood and bumper can be saved, which i don't like. especially because i was seriously considering a nismo/vis cf combo.
