after wasting much time looking online at prices and listening to different setups I have come to the conclusion that the shockwave with duel tips is the only exhaust worth buying. just wondering what would i benefit more from first the xyz pipe or the shockwave exhaust, as i can only buy one at a time?

you'll get more out of the XYZ

just installed the dual shockwave on my friends car, notice good improvement with both but better with the XYZ he said

We just installed crawford headers and HFC plus he has the dual shockwave Ti. I'll hopefully get a video up later today for those interested in the sound. Sounds super aggresive.

Tony - just installed the VQ exhaust today and sounding great so far. Do you recommend resetting the ECU after the install?

It never hurts to do a reset. Go for it.

^^^ +1 no gain, but no loss... so do it anyway (placebo as so many like to declare).

"Sometimes" it will result in a gain. Roughly 1/4 of the time. It depends on if your ECU is in granny or lazy mode when you reset it.

Just posted sound clips of the MD VQ dual tip (running stock 04' X y-pipe).

Links are in this thread:

I have to thank Tony for most of the engine mods so far (i.e. spacer and exhaust). Now, if only there was an XYZ pipe to fit my X!!

I didn't see an answer for this question so I'll ask again: Is the Shockwave going to be a true dual similar to the 350z for the first gen sedans? I would love to have a dual system for my car.
