plz halp(tire size to big?)

I have the coupe 19s.i just bought some 225/40/19s for the front.i need rears now.i know stock they are 245/40,correct?could i go with a 265/40 or a 255/40 if my fenders are rolled?would they even fit?I dont really know but there cheap and i desperately need them.i guess i should ask..the first number heighth right?if so..can anyone suggest ANY tire sizes that would fit me ok in the back??plz?

u can find some halp here http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html make sure your diameter is no more than 3% off or you're VDC will have issues

u can't go wider then 20mm for stock recommended. mine is 215/55r17 orginal I could go of 235/55r17 max with out getting other work done. but I went 225/50r17
