Just had them installed by David over at Tint Zone in Rowland Heights. It comes in 3 piece (L & R) side precut overlays. Installs like tint, but it's more "delicate"

David's thoughts while installing:
1) At first I thought it was tint, but it's not as tough.
2) Andrew did a great job of cutting these
3) First was a pain and I thought I messed up, but then it magically fell into place.
4) I really like these

It took David about an hour to install, not something I would want to handle myself, personally. I am sure glad I had David do it.

So, what do you think?

I think they look great. I like how dark they are. Are these different than those "Bluebatmobile" overlays I've seen floating around on the board? Also how much the the kit cost you?

 

IMO, this looks great!! Really complimented your tinted windows and definitely looks better and more "mysterious"....
I would like to know if these will be safe with high water pressure, like touchless car wash.....
I pm'd him the same question regarding high water pressure, but all I received was the same marketing email response. Any idea?

These are the bluebatmobile overlays.

They cost $40

Andy (bluebatmobile) said that if a hairdryer/heat gun is used to apply, they should be ok to wash within an hour. you definitely need a heat gun to get this right!

I don't use high pressure to wash my car, but I do use hot water from the water heater.

I'll keep posted... off to wax my baby now... getting ready for HID

Ted..I third that, it makes your car look even better! Two questions:
1) Am I understanding that they actually sit on the outside of the lens? (sorry if this seems like a stupid question)
2) Where can we order them from?

I like the overlays as shown on the blue sedan. But here, the camera really fudged the exposure, making the tail lights appear overly dark, almost black. I'd love to see pics taken with a different camera if at all possible.

Yes, they go on the outside of the lens. Two (top and bottom) for the brake/turn signal light) and one smaller piece for the backup light.

I have arrangments with folks to do the installs. David did it for free for the experience, since if he destroyed them I would not hold him responsible. It took an hour, so he said future ones would be around $40 to install.

Yes, the pictures make them look a little darker, but not by that much. The second picture is pretty accurate.

Is there any possibility of making them even darker? I want mine to be nearly (but not quite black). I think it would look good to eliminate the red as much as possible on a green sedan to minimize the "Christmas tree" effect.

 

What percent is the one applied to the twilight blue that you posted?
How long does it need when using the hair drier with high heat?
On a scale of 1 - 10, how hard are do you think it is for the beginner who has never done this before?

 

Blue bat your 350z is ridiculous, just thought I would throw that in lol. Also i'll be ordering a lighter tint than socal's in this thread for my silver G, dont wanna go that dark. Martin
