the finale of MY BRAKES!!!
I took my car in to the dealer today to see what was up with my brakes. They said there is nothing wrong with them, that noise is normal. My brakes god damn squeak whats up with that?!
Re: the finale of MY BRAKES!!!
Guess what, all of these people that say they changed it and knew of the problem with no questions asked lol IS NOT TRUE!! Dealer told me almost the exact same thing. Haha, sucks! Martin

Re: the finale of MY BRAKES!!!
well a guy came up to me at the dealer today and told me he had the same problem and that they were finishing up changing his brake pads and rotars. So im really confused about this.

Re: the finale of MY BRAKES!!!
i just got off the phone with my service rep and scheduled to have my brakes and rotors replaced for free. she told me that there was a 3yr/36000 warranty on them. maybe it is only for 2003 models. i would try talking to your service rep again and mention that there is a warranty avaiable that he/she may not be aware of.

Re: the finale of MY BRAKES!!!
Same service dealership may not be all bad, it really depends on the service rep. Service rep can be a pain in the butt to deal with. Some service rep are a lot more professional and more willing to help than others. I suggest that you find other service rep, try to replicate the noise and then show them the TSB.
It's better not to show the TSB without replicating it because they'll tell you the same line over and over again; they need to replicate the problem before they can perform the TSB. And they might think that because you found the TSB that's why you are asking them to fix it.
One time I took my car in for seat rocking repair, and I just thought I would ask if there are any remedies for some minor scratches and swirl marks on the front fender. The service rep told me that she would ask their shop and see if there are any remedies. When I went to pick up my car later that day, she told me their shop fixed the scratches and swirl marks.... I was very impressed because I only expected her to get the information on how to remove and not fixing them...
Anyway, good luck to you. I would also try another service dealership if other service reps don't work out...

We had this same problem, not on my '04.5 G35 Sedan, but on our '03 FX35. So, after a little negotiation and a call to Infiniti Consumer Affairs, our dealer's service dept. replaced our front brake pads and rotated and resurfaced all 4 rotors at n/c under warranty...ever since, we have not had the problem.
I have 1900 miles on my '04.5 G35 and have never heard them squeak yet; but if they do, they will replace them at n/c as my service advisor told me about Infiniti's policy with the G35 brake issues in the past (although she never mentioned any specific 3 yr./36k mi. replacement warranty on them). However, I believe she also mentioned that Infiniti changed the brand of the semi-metallic brake pads for the '04's (or maybe '04.5's) that were the culprit of the G35's squeaky brake problems.

I C... well i guess im gonna have to go take it to the one in tustin which is damn far, but what can u do. Im still wondering why they replaced that guys 04 Sedan. You think its all on the rep?

"You think its all on the rep?"
definitely. it's all about who you know or who you talk to. like i said, some Gs get their brakes fixed, no questions asked. others have to either fight for it or wait until they reach the wear-down standard. it's just like how some people can get loaners for oil changes, while others have to sit in the tv room with their complimentary beverage and wait.

Re: the finale of MY BRAKES!!!
You should try calling Infiniti Consumer Affairs and complain. They'll open a case # for you and probably coordinate a solution with your dealer. It couldn't hurt to try. btw - you may want to tell them 'your very concerned for your safety and the safety of your family...the brakes may be defective and you know Infiniti has had problems with G35 brakes in the past...this is a safety issue" (which it is). That should get their attention.

Re: the finale of MY BRAKES!!!
hm well when i took the car in for the 6500 maintenance, they replaced my front tw brakes under warranty without me even asking them to, they should replace them if your asking them to and it is bothering you. Be persistent and tell them many others have had similar problems and have had them replaced, haggle free
