Re: 300 horsepower NA Sedan?
Assuming 15% drivetrain loss, that would mean 260 at the rear wheels. I havent seen anybody get there with NA mods. With high flow injectors, ported heads, cams, test pipes, catback, custom ECU flash you could get 320 @ crank or maybe more, but $$$$$$$$$$$$.
Intercooled TT @ conservative boost (5-6 PSI) with timing retard, 11:5-12:1 mix, and good gas seems to spit out 380-400 pretty safe.

Re: 300 horsepower NA Sedan?
Gathering from the numerous dyno data of the G35 and 350Z, 15% would apply if it were on the Dynapak dyno. DynoJet models are closer to 18% driveline lost. Assuming MT of course. For ATs, add 2-3% to the loss.
Having said that, we'll use 350Z as a point of reference in order to elminate the hotly debated 287 vs. 280 vs. 260 (between Z and G) debacle. A 350Z typically average 245rwhp on a DynaPak and 235 on DynoJets (both SAE corrected).
287hp * 0.85 = ~244 (DynaPak scenario)
287hp * 0.82 = ~235 (DynoJet scenario)
Having said that, I've dyno'd:
DynaPak: 251.6 / 0.85 = 296hp
DynoJet: 241.7 / 0.82 = 294.8hp
*note the two dynos were performed within 2 wks of eachother.
I've got a 2004 6mt (pre-LEV2). You can check my profile for mods.
I'm pretty sure Nuttyprof's dyno his car higher than 241 on a DynoJet. The 5AT guys are also in the ball-park with SocalTed, alagolfer and DaveO dyno'n at 247, 241, and 239 respectively on a DynoJet.
Assuming +3% loss from the MTs:
SocalTed: 247 / 0.80 = 308.8hp
alagolfer: 241 / 0.8 = 301.3hp
DaveO: 239 / 0.80 = 298.8hp
Again, do a search for their name to check their mod profile.

Re: 300 horsepower NA Sedan?
i'm at that level. dyno chart flew out the window on the freeway, but i'll dyno it again if someone really really wants to see my #'s.
my engine mods are:
blitz sus intake
jwt heatshield
350z tube (heat wrapped)
crawford plenum v5
350evo bored throttle body (by proflowdesign)
xerd long tube headers (/w straight pipes)
jic y-pipe [temporarily removed because its too loud with headers/exhaust]
greddy evo y-pipe-back exhaust
unorthodox racing crank pulley
technosquare ecu reflash (tuned for mods)
.. other engine mods that dont add any power..
samco hoses, nismo thermostat, hks grounding wires
i was putting out 255 at the wheels @ 7000 rpm ish.

Re: 300 horsepower NA Sedan?
I should be rite up there soon.... Ive been trying to get my mod's done for the past 2 weeks at performance nissan for those in NY(Borla Cat-Back,UR Pulley's,Test Pipe's, 7 wire grounding kit) but the guy was on a pohotoshoot witht he procharged and greddy tt z's, then he said this week and today but hes puttin in the dyno (dynojet)... So hes like you know what, ill give you a free install, hook u up with a good price on xerd test pipe's, he said they're better than helix and kinetix? Phil, i saw you have the xerd straight pipe's how are they? He also said friday the dynojet will be up and ready to go and he'll give me a free dyno pull to baseline my HP before the mod's.... Yes, hes hooking me up, so worth the wait. I'll get the dyno up friday. Martin

Re: 300 horsepower NA Sedan?
i dont remember correctly but you can find my numbers if you search my posts. it was at about 255 rwhp with an 18 percent drivetrain loss to equal about 300 hp at the crank.

Re: 300 horsepower NA Sedan?
Hey SoCatTed,
I notice everyone is still all over the board on what multiplier to use to get the Crank number...1.20, 1.18 and 1.17 I believe in this thread...but in that FL Dyno thread everyone was using 1.22 for the 6MT Coupes and 1.23 for 5AT Coupes...Can you or someone clarify what number we will call agree on.
I always thought the MT numbers were 1.15 and that AT numbers were 1.23 or 1.25...sometihng like that.
I am still trying to get in touch with my local dead beat dyno
:-(
