DIY Info

So I've been searching around the forums to get an idea for what I want to do to my car, and have decided that a lot of what I want to do to my car is DIY, such as blacking out the inside of my headlight housings and painting my grille a gloss/flat black.

Does anyone know if there are any good 'write-up' DIY threads where I can learn how to do some cool little tweaks to the G? I saw the video threads but they're a little more maintenance oriented.

Also, does anyone know where to find the thread that gives the steps for resetting the ECU? Thanks again!

AWESOME.

thanks guys.

Also, a few little questions while I have you here. When turning the car off, do your cars make a little sputter noise? Is that normal?

Sometimes at low speeds I hear clicking coming from the front right wheel well area when accelerating, I thought it was a creaky suspension bit, but if I push on the car, no creaks. Any ideas?

All I hear when I accelerate is y-pipe, z tube, and that addictive VQ warble

are you sure it's coming from the front and not the back?

I'll try and make a recording and post it on here, it's a weird creaking sound, and sounds like its reacting to the car's weight shifting backwards on acceleration.

If it is when you first start out, it might be the Anti lock brake self test.

All DIY's should be here in the tech section: https://g35driver.com/forums/faq-diy-11/
